Obscure Powerful InDesign Shortcut
I love InDesign…I have exploited just about all its features and shortcut keys to use it to its fullest potential and to save me hours of production time. I could go into all the features of InDesign, but there is one obscure shortcut key that I use all the time and that I absolutely love.
Lets say you create a text box and you start typing away then you realize that you created your text box way too big or way too small for the amount of text you are putting into it….well, the long hard traditional solution is to switch to your Selection Tool (V) and click on the text box then resize it….OR you could forget switching to another tool and instead press and hold the Command key to resize your text box on the fly….then release the Command key and get back to typing. Cool, huh! This shortcut even works when your text box is grouped with other items…ultra cool!
